OrmocNet started as a sole proprietorship business as a local Internet Service Provider (ISP) in November of 1997.  In 2004, OrmocNet stopped operating as an ISP and shifted its business to computer retail.

In just a few years, OrmocNet became one of the leading computer stores in Leyte and successfully supplied Ormoc City and the neighboring towns with with computer hardware, software, accessories, peripherals and consumables. 

In 2018, Ormocnet shifted from a sole proprietorship to a corporation named Shift Tech Trading Inc. (STTI) to accommodate the fast-growing number of retail stores under the trade name: ORMOCNET.

At present it has a total of six (6) retail stores with three (3) situated in Ormoc City, Leyte and another three (3) Outside Ormoc City namely: Baybay City, Leyte, Maasin City, So. Leyte, Sogod, So.Leyte. 

OrmocNet is also active in providing technical support and computer repair services being the Authorized Service Center for the following brands:  Epson, HP, Lenovo, MSI and Brother in Ormoc City.
